Protection From Windrow To Stack

Weather is the biggest gamble in hay making. Nurturite hay treatments shrink that gamble — protecting the windrow from rain and dew, letting you bale at higher moisture, and preserving color and leaf all the way to the feed bunk or the buyer.

First Response

First Response is an emulsified silicone treatment applied at the baler that gives you greater tolerance to moisture — an effective alternative to propionic acid. Bale earlier in the evening or later into the morning dew without heating, mold, or caramelized hay.

  • Bale at higher moisture with confidence
  • Prevents mold and heating in the stack
  • No effect on hay flavor or smell
  • Lower treated cost per ton than propionic acid

Raincoat

Raincoat is a silicone-based product applied as the crop is cut, forming a protective layer over the windrow. If rain or heavy dew catches your hay down, Raincoat helps shed that moisture and protects quality until you can bale.

  • Protects hay from rain and dew in the windrow
  • Increases dry matter retention
  • Improves leaf retention in alfalfa and leafy legumes
  • Helps prevent mold in all forages

Hay PT Plus

Hay PT Plus is applied at the windrower at a standard 16 oz/ton rate, putting Nurturite's preservation technology to work from the moment the crop hits the ground. Matched with a Nurturite application system, the rate stays accurate across changing yields and ground speeds.

  • Treatment begins at cutting, when quality is highest
  • Consistent 16 oz/ton application rate
  • Metered accurately by Nurturite rate controllers

The Proof Is In The Bale

Bales from the same fields, opened side by side. Treated hay keeps its green color and leaf — untreated hay browns, molds, and loses feed value.
